“Our tour was excellent from start to end. Our tour guide Sathis was punctual picking us up from the hotel and was very courteous and informative during the tour. Tea plantation tours (two of them) were really good. One produced tea manually and the other was a bit more automated separating the leaves. We also met the owner of the tour (Krishna) at one of the plantations who introduced himself. Nice chap 👍 Sathis stopped at many viewing points to take photos and we climbed up (approx 700 steps) to the Rambodde Waterfall. Great experience. All in all a great day 5* 😀”

He picked us up from our accommodation, made the day very easy bringing us to all the locations and answered all our questions. He added the post office as a stop when he asked. “Geweldige dag gehad! Onze gids was Michael die ons van alles vertelde over de omgeving en de plekken waar we kwamen, en over Sri Lanka in het algemeen. Hij weet ook alle mooie plekjes te vinden en er was genoeg ruimte voor fotomomentjes. Op de heenweg gingen we o.a. naar Ramboda Falls, het was de inspanning van de klim ruimschoots waard. Wat is het daar mooi! In Nuwara Eliya bezochten we de postoffice, deden een toertje rond het meer en gingen we lunchen en nog een beetje rondlopen. Op de terugweg hadden we helaas veel regen waardoor we wat minder van de omgeving konden zien. Maar al met al was…”

“Totaal niet wat ze beloven! Ze zeggen dat je naar de volgende plaatsen gaat: golfclub, de renbaan en het Victoria park. Nou we hebben de golfclub en het park 3 seconden gezien toen we snel langs reden. We konden niet eens foto’s maken. De huizen in Tudor-stijl hebben we niet gezien of überhaupt iets over gehoord laat staan van de geschiedenis van deze mooie plaats. Als laatste beloven ze dat je mensen van dichtbij theebladeren kan zien plukken, ook niks van gezien. Volgens de beschrijving duurt dit 8u wij waren na 3u klaar en werden weer afgezet. Zo zonde…”
